In the future, the Azerbaijanis are going to replace the Madrid Principles with the five principles they have posited, which shall be put on the basis of the peace agreement. Vahe Hakobyan, an MP from the opposition "Armenia" Faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"Three of these principles clearly say that we are closing the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] issue, we are closing forever with the second point, and with the third point we are closing in the future to the extent that we will not have the opportunity to raise that issue on any platform. Our making a call is about the fact that today’s government [of Armenia] is silently handing over Artsakh on a tray.

We hand over Artsakh, tomorrow we will hand over Syunik [Province of Armenia], we hand over Syunik, we will hand over Armenia.

And I am convinced that the issue of the 'Zangezur corridor' is put in footnotes in the fifth point of those principles," the opposition lawmaker added.
