Islamic State-inspired fanatic has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of British MP David Amess, Sky reported.
Ali Harbi Ali, 26, a British citizen and son of a former media adviser to the Somali prime minister, stabbed Amess last October while he was meeting with voters at a church. He cited revenge for the lawmaker's support of airstrikes on Syria as his motive.
On Monday, Ali was found guilty of murder and preparation for the attack at London's Old Bailey court after the jury took less than half an hour to reach a verdict.
