The country's authorities are opening the road for Armenia and Artsakh to preserve their statehood. We are opening a road that will enable taking our people out of the status of a "sacrificial lamb." Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated about this Thursday during the National Assembly debates on the execution of the 2021 program of the government of Armenia—and speaking about the situation around Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

According to him, the decision to start a war in Artsakh in the fall of 2020 was not made in Yerevan.

"We have not decided whether there will be a war or not. We have not decided anything. Today I say that Armenia is a sovereign state, and we must return to us the right to decide something because we are a country, not a stable. We are citizens, not a ‘sacrificial lamb’ that various places decide how much and how to 'slaughter' us. I will not allow our generations to be kept in the status of a 'slaughtered lamb,'" Pashinyan said.
