The paramount objective for Armenia and South Caucasus Railways (SCR) CJSC is making Armenia a transit country, linking Europe with Asia, the SCR Director Shevket Shaydulin stated at the October 21 press conference, NEWS.am correspondent reports.

“Our purpose is to enter and take over Europe-Caucasus-Asia transit corridor, and we have already discussed the matter with President and RA Premier,” he said.

According to the Director, SCR strategy sets outs the development of logistic centres that will assist Armenian railways to enter the international market. “Presently we are seeking for investors to create the international logistic centres,” Shaydulin underlined. SCR is cooperating with Georgian railways for the implementation of complex cargo traffic. SCR already maintains complex cargo transportation from Netherlands to Germany.
