India on Tuesday successfully tested an aircraft version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, TASS reported with reference to the country's Ministry of Defense.

BrahMos was successfully launched from a Su-30MKI fighter. The launch was carried out on the east coast of the country.

The missile was able to hit the target with great accuracy. It was a decommissioned Navy ship.

India began building an airborne version of the BrahMos in 2016, with plans to equip more than 40 Su-30MKI fighters.
