The Chinese leadership does not accept unilateral sanctions and does not intend to follow double standards in settling international issues, said Chinese President Xi Jinping, TASS reported.

“We are against unilateral sanctions and do not intend to pursue a policy aimed at forming blocs and intensifying confrontation,” he said in a video message at the opening ceremony of a key part of the Boao Forum for Asia (BAF) in southern China's Hainan province. "China supports any effort to resolve the crisis, we will not follow double standards."

According to the Chinese leader, Beijing categorically does not accept the jurisdiction of the long arm - extraterritorial distribution of national legislation - of individual countries.

"We are against the abuse of unilateral sanctions and will firmly defend security in both traditional and new areas, and will work together to resolve global issues - counteract conflicts, terrorism and climate change, address network and biological security issues," Xi concluded.
