US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin are due to visit Kyiv on Sunday to discuss Ukraine's request for more powerful weapons, Reuters reported.

The visit, announced on Saturday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will be the first visit by top-level U.S. officials to the country since the conflict began to escalate.

The White House has not confirmed travel plans for Blinken and Austin. The State Department and the Pentagon declined to comment.
