President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on Monday received the Russian foreign ministry’s special envoy for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, Igor Khovaev, APA reported.

“Issues of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, delimitation and demarcation of borders, development of peace treaty between two countries on basis of five principles, presented by the Azerbaijani side, have been discussed at the meeting.

“President Ilham Aliyev has stressed that composition of the Azerbaijani delegation on the development of a peace treaty and Azerbaijan's national commission on delimitation and demarcation of borders between the two countries have been determined, has noted that Azerbaijan is ready for negotiations with Armenia.

“An exchange of views has been conducted on other regional issues of mutual interest during the conversation,” APA added.
