I bow before the courage and determination of our friends who have come out to fight. Military analyst Davit Jamalyan of Armenia told this to a press conference Monday.

In his opinion, the people who joined the torchlight procession on April 23—on the eve of the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide— did not do that by accident.

"There were no random people there; that is very important. But it is no less important that the people had not come there to take part in a one-time action. They were determined and ready to start a struggle. They understood perfectly well that a big and long mission awaits them, which will inevitably be completed successfully," Jamalyan said.

He is convinced that the number of participants in this struggle will increase over time, and victory is not too far ahead.

"I have every reason to believe so—and they are many. In that sense, I am optimistic," the military analyst stressed, calling on his compatriots to join this struggle.
