Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is planning phone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin "in the near future," Turkish television channel A Haber reported.

"President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already had a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy. Expressing that they are ready to provide all possible assistance during the negotiation process and offer the necessary support, including mediation, Erdogan said that Ankara is positively considering providing security guarantees to Kiev. President Erdogan is also expected to have a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future," the channel reported.

On Sunday, the Turkish leader held talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy.
