U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris was tested positive for COVID-19, her office said.

Harris is not considered a close contact to Biden or first lady Jill Biden “due to their respective recent travel schedules,” Allen’s statement said.

Harris, 57, “will isolate and continue to work from the Vice President’s residence,” her press secretary, Kirsten Allen, said in a statement.

Harris is fully vaccinated; she contracted COVID-19 a few weeks after a number of top Democrats in Congress and Biden administration officials also contracted the virus. In addition to the two doses, Harris also received a booster shot.
