YEREVAN. – Armenia faces contradictory processes, oppositional Republic Party leader Aram Sargsyan stated at the rally of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) on Tuesday.

Regarding authorities-opposition dialogue, Sargsyan said that it is the outcome that is most important rather than  the estimation, viewpoint or even the process. It can have two outcomes, he added. First, the authorities will comprehend the seriousness of the dialogue, and come to conclusion that presidential and parliamentary snap elections have no alternatives in Armenia.

This is the only reasonable way, and parliamentary opposition should not oppose it. Second, authorities will continue dialogue in order to extend time. Sargsyan believes that this is also a possible outcome. However, the opposition knows what to do.

We will wait till the beginning of fall. The deadline is September. So authorities will not have time anymore, he added.
