The rating for the best music videos is divided into three categories: 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, Lenta.ru reports.

According to the readers of the Billboard journal, the top music videos of 1980s are Thriller (1983) by Michael Jackson, Like A Prayer (1989) by Madonna, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (1983) by Cyndi Lauper.

Music videos leading in 1990s are Baby One More Time (1998) by Britney Spears, Scream (1995) by Michael and Janet Jacksons, and Vogue (1990) by Madonna.

The first triple of 2000s form Bad Romance (2009) by Lady Gaga, Toxic (2004) by Britney Spears, and I Write Sins Not Tragedies (2006) by Panic! At the Disco.
