The issue of Japan's participation in the NATO summit in June has not yet been decided, Cabinet Secretary-General Hirokazu Matsuno said at a press conference Wednesday.

"We are aware of the statement by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, but nothing has been decided yet about Japan's presence at the NATO summit," Matsuno said.

Earlier, Blinken said Japan is expected to attend the NATO summit in Spain in June.
