Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that she was in favor of a peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict

"According to our analyses, there is no immediate danger, at least for the citizens on the right bank. We can say this with great confidence because our institutions have access here, they can ensure public order and the security of citizens. I hope that there will be no attempts to endanger the lives of citizens on the left bank as well," the President said on the air of Secretele puterii program on Jurnal TV channel.

The head of state also commented on the statement of Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych that Ukraine "may seize Transnistria" in the case of Moldova's appeal.

"We keep in touch with international partners, we use our diplomatic relations to identify potential risks. They come to us with visits. There have also been several phone calls today. Everyone is concerned. Obviously, we can't control all scenarios because there are things that could happen despite the measures we've taken. We also have plans in place for such situations, but right now there is no immediate danger. I say this with great confidence, especially for the right bank," Sandu said, NewsMaker.md reported.
