Islamic Republic of Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a phone conversation on Thursday, IRNA reported.

"The ministers exchanged views on topical issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda. The two sides praised the cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, transport, humanitarian and other fields as well as high-level reciprocal visits. The activities of the Iran-Azerbaijan State Commission on Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Cooperation and the implementation of the agreements reached were noted with satisfaction.

The sides also discussed regional issues of mutual interest and cooperation within multilateral and international organizations.

At the same time, Amir Abdollahian discussed the opening of land borders between the two countries, which were closed due to the outbreak of coronavirus," the statement reads.
