French President Emmanuel Macron said France will increase military and humanitarian support for Ukraine during a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday, Reuters reported.
Macron reiterated his "strong concern" over “Russia's bombing of Ukrainian cities” and the "unbearable situation" in the southeastern Ukrainian port city of Mariupol, the French presidency added in its statement.
Moscow earlier said that Western sanctions against Russia and arms supplies to Ukraine are hindering peace talks.
