Four people were killed after a small plane crashed in the Canadian Province of Ontario, CTV reported.

The incident took place in the northwestern part of the province—far from the settlements.

The wreckage of the Piper PA-28 Cherokee aircraft was found with the help of transponders placed on it.

The four passengers on the plane died.

The cause of the plane crash is being investigated.
