The prosecuting authorities of Arkhangelsk region have completed preliminary investigation against 27-year-old Armenian immigrant Mamoyan Rafael, who is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of Russian Criminal Code (murder).

According to investigators, on the morning of May 18, 2009 in a Kotlas city apartment Mamoyan inflicted multiple stab wounds to his 22-year old girlfriend, which proved fatal.

Immediately after committing the crime he left Kotlas and has been constantly changing his place of residence in the territory of the Russian Federation for two years.

On June 1, 2011 Mamoyan appeared in Kotlas Investigation Department and pled himself guilty.
