GYUMRI. - The authorities dialogue either for the sake of dialogue or to gain time, we understand that very well, said member of opposition Armenian National Congress David Shahnazaryan at meeting with ANC’s Gyumri branch activists on Friday.

Asked why ANC continues the dialogue in given circumstances, Shahnazaryan said that the authorities have time till September, while ANC continues only for the sake of dialogue ethics.

“We gave the opportunity. If they use it, very well, if not, we will go for snap elections under the pressure of masses,” said he.

To one of journalists’ question on why ANC thinks it will have the same scale of support as in 2008, the Shahnazaryan replied that opposition manage all the techniques to gather even a larger mass.

“In 2008 Levon Ter-Petrosyan promised that we shall live in different Armenia. We consider our promise fulfilled: now our people are even more mature in political aspect than the authorities. That means we all live in different Armenia,” said Shahnazaryan.
