YEREVAN. - The Armenian government defined 2013 as the deadline for solving the problem of homelessness in disaster zone of Shirak region. The problem will mainly be solved by building apartments for homeless people. However, over 1000 people will still remain without shelter.
According to initial data, a house building activity may be launched in 2013. The specialists consider it is very cheap but not profitable for homeless people. Besides, there are over 3000 families who have neither shelter nor status that they lost the home during the earthquake of 1988 in Armenia.
