YEREVAN. - Armenia is ranked fifth in the list of the most pro-Russian countries. Overall, 75% of Armenia’s citizens support the course led by Moscow, say the results of study conducted by the American Research Center Gallup, reports Radio Liberty.

According to a study conducted in 2010 in 104 countries, Armenia is the fifth in the list of pro-Russian countries, after some of Central Asian countries (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) and African country of Mali.

Only 7% of Armenians have negative attitude towards policies of Russian government and another 17% found it difficult to answer or evaded the question. At the same time, 75% of Armenia’s citizens support the course led by Moscow.

According to the same survey, in Azerbaijan 54% of the population have pro-Russian sentiments, while 19% disapprove Kremlin’s policy.

Moscow’s official policy is supported only by 6% of the population of Georgia, while about 80% have negative attitude towards Russian leadership.
