President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili has published a congratulatory post on the Day of Kiev on Twitter, News-Georgia reported.

Zourabichvili writes that Kiev, Europe's most beautiful city, has a future as bright and heroic as its past.

"Happy #KyivDay! A beautiful city, a European city for 1540 years with a future as bright and heroic as its history. Congratulations to the people of Kyiv, whose resilience over the centuries continues to bring hope and be exemplary," the Georgian president tweeted.

This year Kiev celebrates its 1540th anniversary.
