Russian President Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his birthday, the Kremlin press service reported.

In the course of the phone conversation, while discussing the implementation of the basic trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the importance of intensifying joint work to ensure regional stability, as well as the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the South Caucasus was noted.

Nikol Pashinian spoke about his 22 May contacts with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Council Charles Michel.

In the light of the results of the Armenian Prime Minister's official visit to Russia in April of this year, the sides touched upon some current issues on the bilateral agenda. Both sides expressed their intention to cooperate closely in accordance with the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
