The dates of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey are being coordinated through diplomatic channels, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reported.

"There is such an invitation, and the dates (of Putin's visit to Turkey) will be coordinated through diplomatic channels," Peskov told reporters.

Earlier, the Turkish daily Yeni Şafak wrote that Turkey expects Putin's visit "in the coming days" at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan for a business summit.

At the same time, Peskov confirmed that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's visit to Turkey is planned. "The minister's contacts are indeed planned, he will tell about it himself afterward," he told reporters on Wednesday, responding to a request to comment on a statement by Turkish presidential representative Ibrahim Kalin that Lavrov's visit is expected on 8 June and that its topic will be the issue of grain supplies and the creation of a security corridor for this purpose, TASS reported.
