Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed that Ankara will try to help clear Ukrainian ports of mines, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a press conference following a visit to Saudi Arabia, TASS reports.

“According to the results of the conversation between [Russian President Vladimir Putin] and [Turkish President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan, an agreement was reached that Turkish colleagues would try to help organize the demining of Ukrainian ports in order to free the ships taken hostage, in fact, from there, with the necessary developing countries with cargo,” Lavrov said.
