Representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry will be part of the delegation during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's visit to Turkey, with military issues on the agenda, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian president's special envoy for the Middle East and Africa and deputy foreign minister, told TASS.

"We will have very important contacts and negotiations. Lavrov will go there to meet with them. There will be a military component, our colleagues from the Defense Ministry, I think all these issues will be discussed and clarified," the deputy foreign minister said.

"The two delegations will be led by foreign ministers, but their delegations will include representatives not only of foreign policy, but also of the military departments, too," Bogdanov noted.

Bogdanov also urged not to speculate on the subject of Ankara's military operation in Syria before contacts in Turkey.
