Given the format of the [OSCE] Minsk Group co-chairmanship and the effective role of the Russian peacekeeping mission, we believe that the matter of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should not become a subject of negotiations for the European Union. Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Minister of State Artak Beglaryan said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He stressed that dialogue is necessary, but it should not become "part of the current difficult relations between Russia and the West."
Beglaryan noted that the internationally recognized format of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, who are responsible for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, already exists to resolve this issue.
