European Economic Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni is set to unveil a reform of the eurozone's stability pact after the summer, adding that the new rules are likely to include country-specific debt targets, Reuters reported.
Speaking in Italy, Gentiloni said the Commission wants to make the reformed borrowing limits less abstract and rigid.
In May, eurozone finance ministers agreed to a gradual transition from supportive fiscal policy this year to neutral in 2023.
