Russian President Vladimir Putin has called the decision of Western countries to supply additional weapons to Ukraine a "fuss," and warned that this could prolong the ongoing armed conflict, Interfax reported.
"In general, all this fuss over the additional supply of weapons, in my opinion, has only one goal: to prolong the armed conflict as much as possible," Putin said in an interview on a Russia-1 television program.
Russia will draw the appropriate conclusions if the West supplies long-range missiles to Ukraine, he added, commenting on the prospect of such supplies.
"But if they are and are supplied, we will draw the appropriate conclusions from it and use our means of strike—of which we have enough to strike at facilities that we do not hit yet," Putin said.
The Russian President also noted that the US decision to supply High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to Ukraine will not change anything in the balance of power. According to him, this is just a matter of replenishing the stockpiles of weapons lost during the military action.
At the same time, Putin stressed that "the range does not depend on the system, but on the missiles that are used."
