Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Serbia, scheduled for June 6-7, "is highly questionable, but Belgrade is not to blame for that at all," Serbian newspaper Vecernje Novosti wrote.
The thing is that Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Montenegro have closed their airspace to the plane of the Russian foreign minister.
But this information has not yet been officially confirmed by these Balkan countries.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is personally engaged in the logistics of the Russian FM's visit, said Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.
"The situation with Sergey Lavrov's visit is very complicated," the Serbian premier told TV Pink.
According to Vecernje Novosti, "due to the new situation," Aleksandar Vucic will meet with Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, at the presidential palace on Monday morning.
