The American company Google will pay 715 thousand dollars to the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Australian state of New South Wales, John Barilaro, The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported.

The decision was made by the Federal Court of Australia. He acknowledged that videos posted on the company's YouTube platform about Barilaro contained false accusations of corruption and fraud. The videos were a relentless and vicious campaign against the Australian official, the court said.

The videos contained rude insults and racist comments. According to the publication, the American company has taken no action to remove these materials or restrict access to them, even after receiving complaints from Barilaro and his lawyers.
