Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova hopes to sign a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, she said at a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger.

According to her, Azerbaijan's aggression against Artsakh created new realities in the region. She expressed hope that a peace treaty would be signed between Baku and Yerevan, which would give a new impetus to the development of countries in the region.

Litzenberger noted that Azerbaijan is "an important partner for the U.S." and his country "attaches great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan.
