Saudi Arabia and Israel are moving towards rapprochement through the mediation of the United States, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources in the White House.

Israel and Saudi Arabia do not have diplomatic relations - however, negotiations continue between the parties to achieve strategic security in the region. First of all, the proposed agreements will concern the possibility of Israeli aircraft to use the airspace of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia will be finally transferred to the control of the islands of Sanafir and Tiran - they are located in the strategically important strait for Israel in the Red Sea, where the Jewish state has the only port in the water area - Eilat.
