Negotiations between Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu began on Wednesday in Ankara, TASS reports.

It is expected that the main topic of the talks will be the export of grain from Ukraine, the prospects for the resumption of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, as well as Turkey's plans to conduct a new military operation in northern Syria.

The talks are being held on the territory of the presidential palace closed to the press, and a joint press conference is expected to follow.

Security measures have been increased near the venue of the negotiations. Patrolmen are on duty at the entrances to the presidential complex.
