Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed personal sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A total of 35 people who are representatives of the Russian authorities were put on the sanctions list, including presidential press secretary Dmitriy Peskov, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and others.
Zelenskyy's decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
The document notes that the sanctions were imposed indefinitely. The following restrictions are imposed:
- blocking of assets and property;
- preventing the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine;
- a ban on any crossing of the Ukrainian border, entering the territorial waters and airspace of Ukraine;
- a ban on transactions in securities;
- denial of visas;
- deprivation of state awards of Ukraine;
- prohibition to use Ukrainian radio frequencies;
- a ban on privatization and leasing of property in Ukraine;
- termination of electronic communication services;
- a ban on the transfer of technology;
- a ban on the ownership of land plots, etc.
