YEREVAN. - Five minor HPPs with automated systems will be installed in Kotayk region of Armenia.

Hov-Khach Ldt that constructed Yotaber-Garni gravity water unit in 2010, which supplies drinking water to Garni, Gheghard, Goght, Hacavan, Geghadir and Vogjaberd villages. The company’s present plan is to build 5 fully automated small hydroelectric power plants. According to company’s agreement with the government, it will be allowed to make a deferred payment of VAT upon the import of turbine-generators.   

Initial exploitation of HPP cascade is scheduled for the third quarter of 2012, government press service informs Armenian News.NEWS.am.
