YEREVAN. – The investigation of murder of deputy chief of Armenian Police Gevorg Mheryan continues, Armenia’s Police Chief Alik Sargsyan told at a press conference on Thursday.

The head of police said that an investigative group is formed.

“Every week I am informed about the investigation progress,” Sargsyan added.

Currently there are no new versions. Double investigation is conducted and there is certain progress, head of police told.

Deputy Chief of Armenian Police Gevorg Mheryan was killed on February 3, 2009 near his home. Criminal case was instigated by the Special Investigative Service.
