TALLINN. - Estonian media outlets revealed new details about Karen Drambyan who opened fire in the Estonian MOD and then was shot dead on Thursday.
According to the Delfi news portal, four drug dealers, including Drambyan’s daughter, stood trial in 2010 for transporting amphetamine. His daughter, Karine Drambyan, was accused of transporting drugs from Estonia to Finland.
No casualties were reported in the recent incident. People left the MOD building through the windows. During the operation Drambyan was shot dead.
Criminal case is prosecuted, police and prosecutor’s office are carrying out an investigation. The motive of a crime is still unknown. The terrorist presented no political demands.
He could have probably taken such a step because of personal tragedy as he was seriously ill and lost lawyer’s practice.
Besides, he was against anti-Russian policy run by Estonia. According to his friend Anatoli Yegorov, he strongly opposed the nationalism.
