YEREVAN. – Heads of several medical centers have no idea about ways of further development, Yerevan city Mayor Karen Karapetyan said at a meeting with the heads of medical centers on Friday.

The mayor offered the heads of the hospitals till the beginning of next year to present plans, which will include accounting on improvements for financial-economic activity and cooperation possibilities for private investors, city hall press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Installment of the new mechanism by the government aims to improve infrastructures of medical service, to provide rearmament of medical equipments and to increase the quality of medical care. Karapetyan once again stressed that mutually beneficial projects may involve a serious investment in healthcare sector development.

“Medicine includes a business component in the world. Besides, doctors have responsibilities to carry out state service,” Karapetyan added.
