Seven people, including a woman and a child, were killed in the town of Boca del Rio in the Mexican state of Veracruz, local prosecutors said.

A criminal case has been opened into the deaths of seven people, three women and four men, including a minor, which occurred around 23:45 on Sunday, July 3, the ministry’s press service blog post on Twitter reads.

Local media, citing residents of the municipality of Boca del Rio, specify that members of one family who owned butcher shops here were killed.
