Iran on Friday launched the Sustained Security 1401 military exercise in the Caspian Sea, IRNA reported.

Deputy Commander of the Iranian Navy Hamza Ali Kaviani said that Iram annually conducts "Continued Security" military exercises in the Caspian Sea.

According to him, missile ships, helicopters and drones are participating in the maneuvers this year.

The purpose of the annual exercises is to work out the interaction of military formations and exchange experience.

Iran's deputy navy commander also warned that Tehran would not allow security breaches in the Caspian.
