A man was found dead Friday in a downtown Yerevan hotel, Shamshyan.com reports.

At around 9:25, the ambulance service informed the police that the doctors on duty went on a call to the aforementioned hotel, and they found a man's dead body there.

The police and investigators found out that the deceased was German citizen Thomas Y., 56.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic doctor, no traces of violence were found on the body.

A forensic medical examination of the body was ordered.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has launched criminal proceedings into this incident.
