The price of the US dollar has quadrupled in Armenia during the last 20 years. Former PM of Armenia, chairman of the opposition Freedom Party, and economist Hrant Bagratyan stated this during a roundtable discussion Wednesday regarding the economic situation in the country.

According to Bagratyan, with this indicator Armenia has surpassed all other CIS countries.

In addition, high prices in US dollars, according to the ex-PM, deter investments.

"In 2018, they carried out a revolution [in Armenia] to change all that; but nothing actually changed," Bagratyan added.
