YEREVAN. - Armenian authorities and opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) began a large-scale campaign against Heritage party trying to prevent it entering the next parliament, said Heritage party MP Armen Martirosyan to a press conference on Thursday.
The MP supported his words by the fact that the lists of district election committees contain names of every political force but Heritage.
“That is an interesting coincidence: both pro-authorities and opposition powers acted coordinated here. This campaign launched against us,” said Martirosyan.
According to him, the large-scale campaign against Heritage party is aimed to “suggest” the people Heritage will have no seats in next parliament.
“Therefore, those citizens who would vote for us will get disappointed and either will not vote at all or will vote for other political forces. There is a problem to limit the activities of Heritage party and since our party has no economic interest or any other relationships or arrangements associated with the former or present governments, they try to neutralize its potential," added MP.
