The doors of all stations of Yerevan subway named after Karen Demirchyan are closed at present. The subway conductors have started a strike since 6am, and are demanding a salary increase. The subway issued a statement about this.
"At the moment, the subway administration is negotiating with the conductors, expecting that they will return to normal performance of their work duties as soon as possible. We apologize to the commuters for the inconvenience caused," the statement reads.
