The supporters of influential Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr have held an indefinite sit-in outside the Iraqi parliament, Shafaq News reported.
"The people have decided to start an indefinite sit-in in front of the parliament, may God bless you," Ibrahim al-Jabri, one of the leading figures of the Sadrist Movement, wrote on Facebook.
Iraqi mass media also report that at least 60 people were injured during clashes between law enforcement officers and supporters of the aforesaid movement.
