MOSCOW. - Statements about tolerance and democracy are absolutely inevitable political line, which Azerbaijan or any other country that has lost its constituent territories but still continues to consider them its own would stick to, Russian MP, director of Institute of CIS countries Konstantin Zatulin told Armenian News - NEWS.am.
According to him, the statements of Azerbaijani senior officials that Armenians and Azerbaijanis can "peacefully coexist in Nagorno-Karabakh under the rule of Azerbaijan," that "Armenians do want it" are made for the international community rather than Armenians.
"This is from the realm of fantasy, nothing more. Azerbaijan, at least until the meeting in Kazan, was steadily increasing tension in the conflict zone, constantly threatening to unleash war and resolve conflict with blood. This damaged its image in the eyes of the world and Baku is trying to regain the trust with speeches. That is dull," said Zatulin.
