Two Tennessee law enforcement officers were killed in a helicopter crash, the AP reported.

The helicopter hit power lines and went down in a wooded area. Officials said the power lines fell onto the highway, and lanes of the highway were blocked off while rescue workers searched for the crash site.

A Tennessee Highway Patrol officer and a Marion County sheriff's deputy were killed in the crash Tuesday afternoon in Marion County, Highway Patrol Captain Travis Plotzer said.
