Russian ambassador to Ukraine Vasily Nebenzya has said that Russia opposes the virtual participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a UN Security Council meeting, RIA Novosti reported.

Nevertheless, despite protests from the Russian representative, the UN Security Council voted to allow Volodymyr Zelenskyy to speak by video link during Wednesday's Council meeting.

Earlier, he had called on the UN Security Council and the leadership of the United Nations to strongly condemn the murder of Darya Dugina in the Moscow region, reports MK.
